Stages of Treatment

At Audiyo the audiologist will start by carrying out an examination of the ear followed by a hearing test as sometimes tinnitus is present due to an area of silence this can occasionally be treated with a hearing solution whether that is filling in the missing gaps or simply using a hearing device as a way of masking the tinnitus.

It may be that the hearing results or examination of the ear require further investigation from an ENT consultant, we will try our best to work alongside you to get the best care needed.

 The audiologist will spend time understanding your tinnitus, the types of sounds and the triggers. Working very closely together you will develop a suitable plan to help manage your tinnitus.

-          Unfortunately not medication or surgical procedure is available yet, the best is finding a management strategy that works for you.
