Stages of Treatment

A hearing health check allows us to have a thorough assessment of the outer ear, ear canal and the ear drum. This allows us to assess for an ear wax blockage, which we can treat using microsuction, as well as ear infections and other conditions, in which case we can refer you to your GP.

Following the examination of the ear we carry out a short screening test. We will specifically test 500khz, 1000kHz and 2000Khz we will play a range of whistles and beeps where we are finding the quietest sound you can hear.

If your screening results are within normal limits the audiologist will then move you onto a 2 year recall. If a loss is present the audiologist will give you the opportunity to book in for our in depth 75 minute in depth full hearing test.

-          A hearing health check is a great starting point even if your hearing is normal we can use is a base threshold for the future.
